Welcome to Unity Center for Spiritual Growth! We would love to have you come and celebrate a deeper walk in God with us. We are a loving community that celebrates together our love of God, of each other, and all of life. Many who have come here for the first time commonly express, with a sense of awe and gratitude, “I feel like I’ve come home.”
You may know about Unity from the Daily Word, our daily devotional that brings comfort and insight to millions of people around the world, or from Silent Unity, our worldwide prayer ministry.
Unity is a non-denominational Christ-based community and, as its name implies, welcomes and cherishes all people. Our greeting to each other is “Namaste,” meaning “I behold the Light in You.”

10 a.m. Service: Lesson/talk with coffee hour following service
1st Sunday of the Month: Community Sunday – Choir (Rehearsal at 8:45am); Potluck after Service; and Healing Service after Potluck

Meet the minister
About Patricia Bessey
Rev. Patricia Bessey is a Unity minister, Master Prosperity teacher, seminar leader, church consultant, spiritual counselor, certified Peacemaker and certified life coach.
Before accepting her position at Unity Center for Spiritual Growth, Rev. Pat served as the co-founding minister with her husband Rev. LeRoy Lowell of Christ Unity Oceanside in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They served that ministry for 10 years before coming back home to Maine.
Ordained in 1996, she has been serving as a congregational minister, a seminar presenter and consultant to many Unity ministries. She volunteers with Unity Worldwide Ministries as the Co-Chair of the Standards Team. She serves as Ministry Consultant in the Unity Worldwide Ministries Eastern Region. In 2015 she received the Charles Fillmore Award for Leadership from Unity Worldwide Ministries.
Rev. Pat is committed to supporting others in becoming all that they have come here to be and to live a healthier, happier and more abundant life through sharing her thorough understanding of spiritual principles.
